Extinct villages as a potencional of tourism in the Bohemian Forest Protected Landscape Area

Key words: potential, extinct villages, Bohemian Forest, tourism This diploma thesis deals with the potential of tourism in the Protected Landscape Area of Bohemian Forest based on evaluation of localization and two chosen implementation factors. First of all, it examines the importance of the resulting potential of a extinct villages in this area. A total of 60 extinct villages are located in the area of interest in the districts of Domažlice and Tachov. Their location, history, population development and current status and information awareness have been studied. In the area of interest are presented its basic geographic characteristics as well as tourism facilities with realization factors. The text of the work is supplemented with tables, graphs, map outputs and also with the actual photographs taken by the extinct municipalities, which are listed in the annexes. The diploma thesis brought the following findings: the extinct villages have little influence on the overall potential of tourism in the Bohemian Forest Protected Landscape Area, but rather only on some local areas, there are no trails that would devote exclusively to the extinct villages in places where their high concentration. Reintroduction of capercaillie(Tetrao urogallus) in Český les Mts. (WBohemia, Czech Republic)

The bachelor thesis Reintroduction program for western capercaillie (Tetrao urogallus) in Český les is dealing with the western capercaillie characteristic, its rearing, release, predation and description of monitored area. Using radiotelemetry we gained datas about presence of this precious species. Another observation was carried out by presence signs and direct observation. In the conclusion of the thesis the results about the observation of the western capercaillie are summarized. Currently, 12 - 14 permanent individuals of western capercaillie occur in the property of municipal forests of Domažlice village. Owing to the reintroduction program the quantity of free living individuals in the surroundings of Čerchov gradually increase.
The Tourism Development in the Tourist Area of Český les

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to present the turist area of Český les as a competitive tourist area with a specific potential for the tourism development. The bachelor thesis is divided into four individual chapters. The first chapter consists of the general terms of tourism, which are related to the topic of the bachelor thesis. The second chapter specifies the geographic, natural and economic characteristics of the tourist area. The third chapter deals with the analysis of the supply and the demand in tourism in the tourist area of Český les, one part also focuses on the questionnaire survey, which was made among the visitors of the tourist area. The SWOT analysis sums up the current state of tourism in the tourist area of Český les. The final fourth chapter includes the proposals and opportunities of the tourism development, which are mostly based on the findings from the previous chapters.
The proposal of tourism development project - Klenčí pod Čerchovem

The thesis is focused on tourism development in Klenčí pod Čerchovem and its surroundings in the south part of the Bohemian Forest. The main objective of this thesis has been to develop the project proposal, which could help solve the problems of tourism development. The situational analysis of tourism development in the area, setting marketing goals, selection of marketing strategies and creating a tourism development plan were important for the elaboration of the project proposal. The main goal of the thesis has been accomplished by the creation of the cycling nature trail ``What is hidden around the Starý Herštejn{\crqq} that is aimed at attracting attention to extinct villages, defunct glassworks, to the ruins of Starý Herštejn, to the monastery and attractions of Pivoň and other historical monuments hidden in the pure nature of the Bohemian Forest. Thanks to the cycling nature trail, visitors would learn more about historical development of human settlements and other attractions in the border area.
